The first ACE camera models have been ground-breaking in the 29 mm x 29 mm specification, which is similar in size to analog cameras. Today, this kind of "sugar cube size" mini camera specification has been widely accepted by the market. It is worth mentioning that all Ace Classic and Ace U models are available in this specification.

With the introduction of Basler's exclusive PGI image optimization package and the use of a new CMOS chip, the ACE series cameras receive further improvements in firmware capabilities and photosensitive chip technology. This technology upgrade resulted in the "new ACE" series, which formed the ACE U and ACE L product lines.

ace L
As with the Ace U, advances in firmware functionality also improved the performance of the Ace L. In addition, the Ace L is equipped with 9-megapixel and 12-megapixel high-resolution Sony Pregius CMOS chips and supports target surface sizes up to 1 inch. To accommodate the larger chip, the Ace L's camera housing is slightly larger than other ACE models, with a cross-section size of 40 mm x 30 mm.
